President's Post

As the school year comes to an end I want to do a huge shout out and say THANK YOU to our awesome PTA Executive Board and Committee Chairs for such an awesome year! Without them we wouldn’t have One School One Book, Theatre IV, the garden, teacher grants, after school activities for our children and so much more! If you see a PTA volunteer running around our school, please take a moment and say thank you for all their time helping to make our school amazing for the kids.

The circle of constant support, love and encouragement at Kersey Creek always overwhelms me. I feel so honored to work with such amazing people. Thank you to Mrs. Thompson, Mrs. Cicuto, the Support Peeps, and all the Teachers! You educate our children and for that I am grateful. Grateful for your patience and love for these children. They are our future. And the future looks incredible!

Friday, May 19th is our annual Silent Auction. Please join us from 5-8 for music, food, and fun. Bring a chair and blanket so you can relax and have fun with your kids. Don’t forget to shop! There will be over 150 items up for auction. Classroom baskets, Disney Trip, American Girl Doll, gift cards to local restaurants, museums….and much more!
Go Caring Comets!

Why Join PTA?
  • Get connected- There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
  • Tap in the network- Parenting is not easy- it helps to share ideas, concerns and experiences with other parents and educators in the community. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues.
  • Speak up- Because the PTA is a forum for idea exchange and advocacy, PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change.
  • Witness Improvement- By getting involved in the PTA, you’ll help make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum based programs, and social events, which is all vital to a school’s success. Research has proved that kids do better when parents are involved. Grades are higher, test scores improve and attendance increases.
  • Be a Role Model- As a PTA member, you demonstrate to your child the importance you place on education.
  • Benefits Everyone- PTA addresses issues that are important to parents and public school administrators.
